Action Needed NOW to Avoid Getting Locked Out of Email
Deadline: September 28, 2021
The College will move to the new OneLogin portal system with multi-factor authentication on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 5 a.m. If you have not already done so, we are asking you to immediately set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) in advance of the launch.
Why must I set up multi-factor authentication?
If you do not set up multi-factor authentication you will be locked out of Outlook, Blackboard, PeopleSoft and all other online College resources.
What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
MFA is an authentication method that requires you to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to your computer account. We are implementing MFA for your protection against hackers trying to access your account for phishing attempts.
OneLogin will require you to have your smartphone available to log in to Iona systems. If you do not have a smart phone, please place a ticket at www.iona.edu/workorder. Under category, please select "OneLogin" and then “No Smart Phone.”
Please follow the instructions located on www.iona.edu/mfa to download and set up the OneLogin Protect app on your smartphone. You will also need to install the OneLogin Browser Extension on your computer. Instructions for installing the browser extension may also be found on www.iona.edu/mfa. Once you download and set up MFA, please go back to www.iona.onelogin.com and log in to see how MFA works.
Please register in this new system immediately to avoid any interruption in your ability to access the College systems. Please contact the Help Desk if you have any questions at (914) 633-2635.
