Feast of St. Columba, 6/9
Monday, June 9 is the Feast of St. Columba, the founder of the monastery on the Isle of Iona and the patron of our University. All are invited to join us for a special Mass at 12:30 p.m. in the Blessed Edmund Rice chapel.
Action Required: Emergency Alert System Changes
Information Technology is making an important update to our emergency alert system, Omnilert on Monday, June 9.
These changes require action on your part but will make it easier to receive important text alerts from the University.
Ahead of this update, please log in to PeopleSoft (MyIona ? PeopleSoft tile) to update your account information, confirming your mobile number is correct to ensure uninterrupted communication. Please read more details here.
Donate Your Extra Bags to HOPE Community Services, 6/27
Have extra reusable or plastic bags at home? HOPE Community Services is in need of bag donations to help guests carry their groceries. Please consider donating new or gently used bags (like the ones from the supermarket). Drop-offs can be made at the MarCom office located in McSpedon Hall, Room GR23, through Friday, June 27. Every bag makes a difference!
Gaels Go Further Mentoring Program and Course
As advisement opens, consider enrolling in the Gaels Go Further Mentoring Program! This one-credit, Pass/Fail, Mentoring and Career Exploration course is one of several opportunities offered through the Gaels Go Further Mentoring initiative and takes one semester to complete.
Students in this course are paired with an alumni mentor who will provide career guidance and support. Faculty and staff also facilitate workshops on topics such as how to write a professional resume, how to write a cover letter that stands out, best practices for interviewing and more. If you’re interested in registering for the course for the Fall 2025 semester, the course name and number in PeopleSoft is CDS-1200 (Cross Disciplinary Studies).
For questions about this course or other Gaels Go Further offerings, please email Matthew Ricker at mricker@iona.edu.
