Upcoming New Student Orientation Sessions

Thank you to all campus departments, employees and student leaders involved in Iona’s New Student and Family Orientation sessions. As a reminder, we have one session remaining this week and two additional sessions next week! 

If you’ll be on the New Rochelle campus during this time, we want to ensure you have easy access to helpful information in case you encounter any new Gaels with questions.

Orientation Headquarters
Headquarters will be located in Mulcahy Gym until 10:30 a.m. and, weather permitting, will then transition to Murphy Green for the remainder of the day.

Donate Your Extra Bags to HOPE Community Services

Have extra reusable or plastic bags at home? HOPE Community Services is in need of bag donations to help guests carry their groceries. Please consider donating new or gently used bags (like the ones from the supermarket). Drop-offs can be made at the MarCom office located in McSpedon Hall, Room GR23, through Friday, June 27. Every bag makes a difference! 

Fall Killian's Kickoff Booklet Submission Deadline: July 11

The deadline to have your event included in the Fall Killian’s Kickoff booklet is Friday, July 11.

To ensure your event is featured, please submit and confirm it in 25Live no later than July 11. This booklet is a key resource for welcoming students back and highlighting events across campus—don’t miss the chance to be included!

IonaGaels Wi-F

The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce a major upgrade to the University’s Wi-Fi network, aimed at improving security, connectivity and convenience for our campus community.

A new Wi-Fi network, "IonaGaels," is now available for use on personal devices. Once connected, devices will remain authenticated for up to five years, offering a more seamless, reliable and uninterrupted user experience.

Summer Programs Underway: Camp Dates & Traffic Notice

Summer residential programs have begun, and day camps will start later this month across both campuses.

Please be mindful of increased traffic during camp arrivals and departures on the following dates.

  • New Rochelle Campus
    • June 30 – August 3
      • Sol Camp (LaPenta School of Business, Residential), 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
      • Zuma Education (Murphy Center, Residential), 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
    • June 30 – August 15
      • Lavner Education (LaPenta School of Business)
        Additional traffic: 8-9 a.m. & 4-5 p.m., Monday - Friday near LSB
      • Challenge Camp (various STEM buildings & Hynes Athletics Center)
        Heavy traffic: 8:30-9 a.m. & 3:30-4 p.m., Monday - Friday, especially from North Ave. through Beechmont exit
    • July 7 – July 11
      • Bruce Beck Broadcasting Camp (Murphy Center, Driscoll Hall, Ryan Library)
        Heavy traffic: 8-8:30 a.m., 3:30-4:30 p.m., Summit Ave./Summit Lot (No staff parking)
  • Bronxville Campus
    • July 7 – July 25
      • Destination Science Camp (Feth Hall), 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday - Friday
    • August 4 – August 8
      • Daley Smith Camp (Brunn Maier), 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday - Friday

Action Required: Staff Software Inventory Form

The Office of Information Technology is developing a comprehensive inventory of software used across University departments.

Staff are asked to please review the current list of software in use here.

If any software your department uses is missing from the list, kindly provide the necessary details for each product by completing this form.

Involvement Fair: Reserve Your Table by August 4

The Center for Student Engagement (CSE) will be hosting the Fall 2025 Involvement Fair on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Murphy Green (rain location: Mulcahy Gym). This campus tradition is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the many ways to get involved in Iona’s co-curricular life, meet student leaders, and connect with departments and campus resources.

Reserve Your Table
All recognized student clubs/organizations, departments and campus programs are welcome to register. This is a key moment to reach new students and showcase your initiatives, events and opportunities.

Register by Monday, August 4, 2025 to secure your spot.

Please note that table reservations are first-come, first-served. Late requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but space is not guaranteed after the deadline. We recommend early registration.

Mandatory Student Employment Supervisor Training Opportunities

Student Financial Services will be offering mandatory training for all student employment supervisors. If you are a new supervisor (primary or secondary) or anticipate supervising student employees during this academic year, please contact Jennifer Connolly at jconnolly@iona.edu to obtain the Zoom link.

The training sessions are scheduled as follows:

• Tuesday, July 15, 2025, Noon–1 p.m.
• Thursday, August 28, 2025, 1–2 p.m.
