Registration for Fall 2025 Fraternity & Sorority Life Recruitment is Open!

The Council for Greek Governance (CGG) is pleased to announce that Fraternity & Sorority Recruitment will begin Thursday, September 18 at 9:15 p.m. and continue through Friday and Saturday, with Bid Day happening on Sunday, September 21 at 5 p.m. Register today to get involved! Eligible students can register through Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 11:59 p.m.

In order to be eligible to participate in CGG Recruitment Weekend, you must hold a minimum 2.5 GPA, be in good conduct standing with the University, and have completed 12 credits at Iona. If you are a transfer student, please reach out to astellato@iona.edu for more information.

There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, September 17, at 12:30 p.m. in the McGrath Room for those eligible to participate. In addition to this meeting, please note these pre-recruitment events:

Involvement Fair: Thursday, August 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Meet the Greeks: Thursday, August 28 from 9:30-11 p.m. in Mulcahy Gym (doors close at 10 p.m.)

Involvement Fair: Reserve Your Table by August 4

The Center for Student Engagement (CSE) will be hosting the Fall 2025 Involvement Fair on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on Murphy Green (rain location: Mulcahy Gym). This campus tradition is an exciting opportunity for students to explore the many ways to get involved in Iona’s co-curricular life, meet student leaders, and connect with departments and campus resources.

Reserve Your Table
All recognized student clubs/organizations, departments and campus programs are welcome to register. This is a key moment to reach new students and showcase your initiatives, events and opportunities.

Register by Monday, August 4, 2025 to secure your spot.

Please note that table reservations are first-come, first-served. Late requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, but space is not guaranteed after the deadline. We recommend early registration.

Advising: Please contact the Center for Advising and Academic Services or your academic advisor to discuss your course selection and enrollment. The Center for Advising can be reached at advising@iona.edu or (914) 633-2130. You can also make a virtual appointment with Advising through Appointment Plus on your Single Sign-On page. 

Student Financial Services: If you have a financial hold, the staff in the Office of Student Financial Services will work with you to identify your financing options with a goal of enabling you to clear up any holds. Students may make appointments with individual staff members by scheduling online or calling (914) 633-2497. Appointments are available in person, via Zoom or by phone.

Registrar: For additional information about course registration, please visit the Office of the Registrar. You can also track your progress toward degree completion and graduation using the Interactive Degree Audit tool.

Starbucks Summer Hours

Starbucks is open for a limited time this summer. We will be serving up your morning favorites, Monday-Friday from 8-11 a.m. through July 31.

Iona University Office of Alumni Engagement Launches "On the Rise Podcast"

The "On the Rise Podcast" highlights the wide variety of skillsets and strengths of the alumni community. Tune in to hear from notable alumni including Jim Oates '95, president of the Alumni Board of Directors, Cathy McCabe '85, Board of Trustees member and co-chair of the Gaels Go Further Advisory Board, and more!

IonaGaels Wi-Fi

The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce a major upgrade to the University’s Wi-Fi network, aimed at improving security, connectivity and convenience for our campus community.

A new Wi-Fi network, "IonaGaels," is now available for use on personal devices. Once connected, devices will remain authenticated for up to five years, offering a more seamless, reliable and uninterrupted user experience.

Gaels Go Further Mentoring Program and Course

As advisement opens, consider enrolling in the Gaels Go Further Mentoring Program! This one-credit, Pass/Fail, Mentoring and Career Exploration course is one of several opportunities offered through the Gaels Go Further Mentoring initiative and takes one semester to complete.

Students in this course are paired with an alumni mentor who will provide career guidance and support. Faculty and staff also facilitate workshops on topics such as how to write a professional resume, how to write a cover letter that stands out, best practices for interviewing and more. If you’re interested in registering for the course for the Fall 2025 semester, the course name and number in PeopleSoft is CDS-1200 (Cross Disciplinary Studies).
