Serving Students with Disabilities: A Virtual Workshop with Jane Thierfeld Brown, Ed.D., for Administrators and Staff, 6/26

Bringing 43 years of experience working in Disability Services, Dr. Jane Brown will share insights on working with neurodivergent students who rely on our student support offices. All staff and administrators are encouraged to attend, especially those in Student Success and working in student-facing areas and offices. (A separate workshop will be held for faculty at a later date.)

Some questions for the workshop may include: What more could we do to help remove barriers for students living on campus? How might we create a sensory environment appropriate for neurodivergent students? How can we support student staff? How can Academic Support prepare to accommodate neurodivergent students? How do we work with the student/parent dynamic?

Please see below for more on Dr. Jane Brown:

Reserve your table by Monday, August 3, for the Center for Student Engagement’s annual Fall Involvement Fair–one of the most exciting and well-attended events of the semester.
