Iona in Mission Participant Application 2020-2021

Thank you for considering to participate in the Iona in Mission program.

Please make sure to thoughtfully complete the application. All applicants must complete the application and interview with the student trip leader to be considered. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. of the deadline date indicated.

To apply for an international immersion, there is a domestic immersion prerequisite. Being on an Iona in Mission team requires considerable commitment, including:

  • Mandatory team meetings for 2-3 months before the immersion
  • Fundraisers
  • Commissioning Mass
  • Post-immersion team meetings

II. Immersion Trip Preferences

Before completing your trip preferences, we invite you to consider...

  • Make sure to really think through what immersion trip may be calling you.
  • You may only apply to 1 trip in each group to avoid simultaneous interviewing
  • Your First Choice should be the first trip applied for. Try to avoid applying for trips that are due before your overall first choice. (example: Nazareth Farm=1st Choice, do not apply for Group A trips)
  • You may apply for trips in any or all groups after your first choice.
    • Do not be discouraged if not selected for first choice. The trip finds you!
    • Your application will roll over to the next group, but you must sign up for an interview.
    • Completing a new application is not necessary.
  • Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on due date of earliest trip to which you are applying.

Please select the immersion trip(s) that interest you.
