MNG 380 - A - Managing Sports Organizations

This course will introduce students to the dynamic field of sport management. Topics will include management issues and principles, history of sport management, varieties of sport organizations, legal issues, human resource issues, branding, and strategic analysis. Students will examine the billion-dollar sport industry and identify the vast, creative and substantial role business plays in professional, collegiate, and amateur sports. Emerging trends in the sport management field will also be considered. Not liberal arts.
